2nd Assignment by Liu, Chuncheng (NEW VERSION)


This Color Contact Lenses with Hello Kitty can be put in the eyes, which allows people to have violet color eyes with Hello-Kitty on it. People could use one pair of the contact lenses per month. The product's maker thought this is very cute and the fan of Hello Kitty should definitely have one pair. I do not think this product will be adopt quickly, and my reasons are as follows.

First of all. The product only have fewer relative advantages. The only advantage of this product to the prior one is the Hello-Kitty's picture, while other color contact lenses usually cost only about $20~30 and this one would cost people US$100. It has no other technology breakthrough at all, though the price truly is a breakthrough. 

Second, there are some problems with the compatibility. I'm sure that many people would think that people with hello kitty on their eyes are weird, and many other people would think that the act of putting something in one's eyes and changing the color is strange and unacceptable.

Third, about the adaptability of this product. There's no other use of this product except putting it in your eyes, so the adaptability is low.

Fourth, the product's value is hard to observe and feel. Though the Hello-Kitty is the only relative advantage, people cannot see this easily and clearly unless in a very close distance. The color of violet is easy to observe, while it could be replaced by a much more cheaper one. In a word, the observability of this product is bad.

I don't think there are much improvements could be made for this product, for the complicated picture is very hard to show in such a tiny place, while the market of the normal color contact lenses is already got to saturation. Based on these reasons, I believe this product could not be adopt quickly in the future.
